MACCH

The Maastricht Centre for Arts and Culture, Conservation and Heritage (MACCH) is a transdisciplinary center that brings together a unique combination of economic, legal, historical, philosophical, and practical expertise in response to the demands of the increasingly multi-layered challenges facing the fields of arts and heritage today. To meet these challenges, MACCH initiates collaborative research projects across the traditional boundaries separating academic and professional practice and institutions.
MACCH was launched in March 2015 and is a joint initiative between the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Humanities and Sciences, School of Business and Economics of Maastricht University, as well as the Sociaal Historisch Centrum Limburg (SHCL) and Stichting Restauratie  Atelier Limburg (SRAL). International relations

The  SRAL maintains intensive contacts with, among others, academic institutions in London, Cambridge, Cologne, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Liege en Dresden. Teachers are exchanged, workshops are held together and students are offered the opportunity to expand on their practical experience during internships, also after graduation.

ICOM-CC International Council of Museums – Conservation Committee

SRAL employees are active in the working-groups of ICOM-CC: Kate Seymour  and Arnold Truyen are respectively Co-ordinator en Assistant Co-ordinator of the Working Group for Sculpture, Polychrome and Architectural Decoration; Lydia Beerkens is Assistant Co-ordinator of the Working Group for Modern Materials in Contemporary Art.

SRAL is member of ENCoRe. 

CICRP Centre Interrégional de Conservation et Restauration du Patrimoine, Marseille

SRAL advises on the conservation of plastics in modern artworks for CICRP.
